Event Details

We are delighted to have partnered with the British Dyslexia Association to bring this Level 3 programme to the international school community. The BDA is one of the world’s leading experts in the field of dyslexia and this programme will offer participants the opportunity to delve deeper and explore current research, pedagogy and best practice. The programme offers a blended one-year level 3 course to anyone interested in supporting students with dyslexia. There are three online modules and two face-to-face sessions throughout the year. Participants complete a workbook throughout the course which is then submitted as part of the programme assessment.


This programme is intended to provide a greater understanding of the problems that dyslexic learners face and appropriate methods and resources to help support them to develop skills for successful, independent learning.Particpants will receive their online account logins in early October 2019 to allow time to complete module 1 prior to the first day of delivery.

Module 1 Fundamentals of Dyslexia Awareness (online e-learning)

Face-to-Face Days

The programme is delivered over five modules; two of which are face-to-face. The face-to-face days are on:

  • Thursday 21st November 2019
  • Tuesday 19th May 2020


Programme Assessment

In addition to the above modules, there is an assessed workbook to be completed and submitted.


Candidates will be given 12 months to complete to complete their accreditation, including undertaking all training modules and submission of their assessed workbook. Candidates must submit copies of both their completed workbook and registration form in order for their work to be marked and to receive their course accreditation.

This programme is delivered by the British Dyslexia Association (BDA), one of the world’s leading campaigners and authorities in the field of dyslexia. Having led in this field for over forty years, the BDA’s mission is to:

  • Campaign and lobby for long lasting and sustainable change for the benefit of dyslexic people
  • Provide impartial and objective advice and support to dyslexic people and those with whom they come into contact
  • Set the standards for and accredit dyslexia knowledge and professional expertise
  • Deliver innovative solutions which break new ground in the field of dyslexia
  • Disseminate and share best practice regionally, nationally and internationally
  • Promote research
