Description

Session Description:

This session will provide an overview of focus groups as research method and then take students through the practical steps of organising and running a focus group. If there are adequate numbers, students will be given an opportunity to practice techniques at introducing and facilitating focus group sessions. Students will also be asked to consider how to close / end a focus group session.

Who is this session for?

All members of the Post Graduate Research community can attend however those within their first or second year who are about to embark upon field work may find this the most helpful. This is part of the IHR/IASR training programme, students from IHR/IASR have priority over students located in other institutes.
