------------------

The Universities of Stirling, Dundee and Heriot-Watt invite you to take part in our strategic programme to improve policy and practice in the area of Housing and Ageing in the UK. The programme will bring together academics, policy makers, service users and organisations delivering policy objectives in practice to exchange knowledge and design best practice.

Working together with Housing LIN, the Scottish Federation of Housing Associations (SFHA) and Age Scotland, the events will focus on linking the strategic policy priorities of Housing and Ageing together with practice and service user experience. We are delivering three working group events that will work in synergy to incorporate policy-maker, practitioner and stakeholder/service user knowledge with one final larger conference event.

This is the Practice Working Group that aims to bringing together housing and ageing organisations and people working in the housing and health sectors in Scotland, England and Wales to facilitate analysis of shared policy challenges and priorities across the UK. Reasonable travel costs will be provided.

The practice working group shall be complemented by a policy makers working group, stakeholder working group and final conference event: Linking Strategy to Future Delivery in Housing and Ageing. At each event, the afternoon will include a serious game exploring the opportunities and challenges for delivering Housing and Ageing strategies by 2030 (led by professional game designer Jim Wallman, https://www.stonepaperscissors.co.uk/).

This will collect evidence through a creative and participatory process to stimulate discussion and identify shared objectives for older people's housing for Scotland 2030. We will be gathering qualitative data based on your responses (via notes, feedback etc) throughout the event to help us develop recommendations and a potential journal article. Involvement in the game is completely voluntary and we will keep contributions anonymous.

The events explicitly focus on integrating policy-maker, practitioner and service user perspectives to develop new knowledge, foster collaboration and identify key recommendations for implementing national housing strategies around ageing.

We cannot wait to see you there!
