‘It’s the most wonderful time of the year…’ or so the song goes anyway. But with mounting demands placed on us over the festive season, it’s a wonder we have any energy left to enjoy the holidays.
Why not leave the ‘To Do List’ at home and take a couple of hours out for you, to release built up tensions, reconnect with your breath and relax your mind and body? This two-hour Yin Yoga workshop will do just that, leaving you feeling recharged and ready to enjoy spending time with family and friends.
During the workshop, we will begin with a calming pranayama (breath practice) and gentle meditation to set the mood for the afternoon. The Yoga aspect will be based on the principals of Yin, where we hold the postures for longer and move mindfully through transitions. This gentle practice will target connective tissue, helping to exercise your joints to their current, full range of motion. The workshop will end with a 30-minute Yoga Nidra, guided relaxation.
What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event?
There is metered parking on Cadzow Street in front of Hamilton Town Hall, there is also a car park on Church Street, which is behind the studio.
