Event description

Description

City and Guilds Building, room 664 (6th floor).

On Thursday 25th October (the evening before EAG starts), we’ve got a venue booked in Imperial College London.

We will have short talks from attendees of EAG who are working to reduce animal suffering.

This could focus on what their organisation has been up to recently, or generally on issues and ideas they've been working on personally that others might be interested in. Each speaker will likely talk for 5 to 15 minutes each, which will then be followed by some free time to meet other attendees and directly ask them any questions that you have. Hopefully it'll be a great chance to meet people, ask them questions about their work, and find out how you can heplp each other.

Please book a free ticket, even if you've said to one of us that you will be attending. This allows us to manage numbers, and ensures that you reserve yourself a space.

Note: a ticket to EAG is not required to attend this event. This event is intended to benefit those attending EAG, but also the local effective altruism and animal advocacy communities.

Confirmed speakers so far:

Jakub Stencel (Anima International)

Nicole Rawling (The Good Food Institute)

Natalie Cargill (Effective Giving)

Scott Weathers (Compassion in World Farming USA)

Osman Yavas (The Humane League)

Luke Hecht (Animal Ethics)
