Who is it for?
3rd year pharmacy students who are applying for pre-registration trainee pharmacist positions starting in Summer 2018.
A new centralised recruitment and selection process for pre-registration pharmacist posts in England and Wales will be introduced from summer 2017. This process will utilise the Oriel IT system which is already used to support the recruitment of dentists, doctors and healthcare scientists. Through the Oriel IT system, only one application will be required in order for you to apply for all of the posts advertised. You will be able to state your preference for all posts, both hospital and community*, the system will allow you to preference as many programmes as you wish so it is important that you think carefully about the type of environment that you work and learn best in.
There are many factors which may influence your preferences including location, employer type, size of organisation or specialty.
This event will be beneficial to you for making your preferences. In addition the HEE London and South East pharmacy team will be on hand to speak to and answer any questions regarding our training programme and the Oriel system.
* Please note that not all community pharmacy posts will be recruited to through the National Pre-registration Pharmacist Recruitment process. Some community posts will be recruited to directly by individual community pharmacies.
