Join Ariane to learn a beautiful piece by medieval Abbess Hildegard of Bingen & Bernart de Ventadour.

About this Event

All Welcome - No Experience Necessary

Ever wanted to learn one of Hildegard of Bingen's beautiful medieval chants? Join professional singer and experienced workshop leader Ariane Prüssner on Zoom to learn Hildegard's Columba Aspexit on Wednesday 3rd March, 7.15pm.

Then on Monday 8th March, 7.15pm, Ariane will guide you through Quan Vei la Lauzetta by Bernart de Ventadour.

Ariane Prüssner is one of the singers of medieval music group The Telling and has been running online workshops since the first week of Lockdown 1.0.

In celeberation of International Women's Day (8th March), The Telling present two free screenings of the online adaptions of their critically acclaimed female-led concert/plays:

Wednesday 3rd March, 8pm - Vision: the imagined testimony of Hildegard von Bingen

Monday 8th March, 8pm - Unsung Heroine: the imagined life and love of troubadour Countess Beatriz de Dia

Both films will be available to watch via Facebook and YouTube.

The workshops will take place ahead of the screenings so you can singalong during the shows.

Book both workshops and save £2!

The sessions will take place on Zoom. You don't need a webcam and all participants will be on mute so you can sing without fear. Please state your Zoom Display Name during checkout.

In the runup to each workshop, you will be emailed details on how to join via Zoom as well as the score.
