Event description
The Clinical Site are excited to present a talk by Mr Bernard Burgoyne that will look at some philosophical orientations to Psychoanalysis

About this Event

The seminar will look at some philosophical orientations to psychoanalysis - of which phenomenology is perhaps the richest - in relation to the direction these philosophies give to psychoanalytic theory, as well as to recommendations for psychoanalytic technique. As regards the problems and solutions proposed by such philosophies, many older answers have been neglected that Mr Burgoyne intends to take up and explore in his seminar

About Mr Bernard Burgoyne

Mr Burgoyne has given presentations of psychoanalysis - particularly on questions of the boundaries and frontiers of the mind - at several hundred clinical and academic institutions across the world: including eight hours of seminar-presentation at the Tate Modern on the relation between the topology of the mind and desire. He has practiced psychoanlysis for over thirty years, and is a Member of the World Association of Psychoanalysis, and a (Founder) Member of the Centre for Freudian Analysis and Research.

*The ticket price includes a glass of wine. Early booking is advisable as tickets are limited and event is likely to sell out.
