Pregnant & Strong - Preparing for Pregnancy, Birth & Beyond
My Pregnant and Strong Class is aimed to help you feel mentally and physically strong for the pregnancy journey you are on. The class is about moving to support your changing body and to equip you for the changes that it is going through. Rather than focusing on what not to do or what is ‘pregnancy safe’, think specifically training your body and mind for pregnancy, strengthening muscles needed to help grow and carry your baby, & a prime focus on your core, including your pelvic floor and breath patterns.
Class Details:
- Weekly focus on pelvic floor and core engagement, strengthening, stabilising, and co-ordinating - all things vital in pregnancy, birth and beyond;
- We will use fundamental bodyweight strength movements to support postural changes and strengthen key muscle groups needed in pregnancy & birth;
- We will be a safe space to share concerns, questions, and chat about all things pregnancy - community is everything!
- We will work out together with our current state of body and mind firmly in the forefront, moving to make us feel good!
Open to any trimester, provided you have been cleared to exercise during pregnancy (if you are unsure about this please do reach out to have a chat.) No prior experience is needed - in fact, it’s part of my mission to support people who have not been confident enough to be physically active so far in pregnancy to do so.
