“This course is extremely comprehensive to anything else I’ve seen on the market” – Biodun Ogumyemi, OptiMind Method

“Thom has not only learnt the craft to the depth and level of its founders, he has taken it further incorporating deeper insights” – Mel Harris, The Performance Tree

“Thom has explored the charts drawn up by those who pioneered NLP and is upgrading the map.” – Mathew Edmondson

I suppose that no one has informed you that NLPs most iconic model, NLP Eye Accessing Cues, is incorrect? Well, if that’s news then wait while you hear this…

Some of those eye accessing cue positions really relate to reference experiences, imprint maps of the actual territory. Did you know that right from the beginning that the NLP co-creators dismissed looking for reference memories as ‘archaeology’?

What I’m about to disclose will shake NLP to its very foundations, because I’ve discovered that reference memories can be observed in body language – A fact which even the field of psychology had missed!

Back in the day, NLP openly mocked the major schools of psychotherapy for accepting the presupposition that reference experiences needed to be unearthed and reworked for meaningful change to occur so that NLP could promote its brand of ‘content free’ change work. Psychotherapists retaliated by saying that NLP merely ‘papered over the cracks’ or simply ‘diverted the river’.

Even those closely associated with Milton Erickson jumped on board by saying that NLP had put Erickson’s work into a ‘nutshell’, but had left out the ‘nut’, or essence of Erickson’s work. What would could this essence be? Well, how about the reference experiences which one of the original NLP developers claimed that Erickson got every time?

And, did you know that the NLP co-creators mislabelled a key piece of Erickson’s body language as clearly an adaptation to his physical condition when it was a powerful symbolic communication? Perhaps, after 10-months of modelling Erickson, that’s why the NLP Milton Model became predominantly a collection of language patterns?

I also modelled Erickson, for 5-years, and I realised that Erickson’s gesture related to a naturally occurring system of body language which is essential not only for proper thinking, but for speech to occur. The discovery of this previously unreported system caused me to expand the concept of accessing cues into a more complete model which now includes both experiencing and negating thought. Not only was it this discovery which eventually led me to the conclusion that the NLP Eye Accessing Model is incorrectly labelled and to develop a new eye body language model, I also reasoned that what must occur in between thought accessing and negation must be thought contents…

And, that’s when I discovered reference memories in body language! I spent years observing the key patterns which reveal the contents and structure of reference memories and developed the AWARENESS model which I’ll teach you on this seminar, along with my new eye body language model.

Plus, I developed The Nonverbal Milton Model and I’ll show you how Erickson used his body language to create an almost permanently entranced state within his audience!

While we’re on the topic of Erickson, want to learn one of his key language patterns which didn’t appear in the NLP Milton Model? Neither has it been reported by Erickson nor his disciples previously. What’s better is that I discovered that the comparative mythologist, Joseph Campbell, the man who discovered the structure of ‘The Hero’s Journey’ in myths, unconsciously used an almost identical pattern far more creatively than Erickson in order to persuade millions to ‘follow your bliss’.

Inspired by Erickson and Campbell, I developed the FRAMES model, a persuasive appeals model which teaches people how to combine reason, emotion and ethics to win people over. In fact, it naturally generates NLP Milton Model patterns in effective sequences even if you’ve never had any previous Milton model training!

FRAMES combine with another model called BYPAS to form a complete interlocking system for effective goal-directed communication. I developed the BYPAS model while training negotiators, front-end sales and complaints handling teams. It helps people to quickly diffuse conflict, gain agreement and rapidly reach win-win. You can use it to quickly change limiting beliefs faster than any other NLP change format and because it’s all conversational, you can even use it on your own internal dialogue! In fact, it naturally generates NLP Sleight of Mouth patterns in effective sequences, even if you can’t remember Sleight of Mouth!

FRAMES and BYPAS when combined present an entire goal-directed influential communication framework which was missing from NLP previously. In fact, I’ll show you how to use this system as an incredibly powerful new coaching model too.

My name is Thom Shillaw and since 2011, I have concentrated my efforts on designing and delivering Advanced NLP Master Practitioner certification courses, internationally.

In a flurry or creativity and in training rooms throughout Europe, for 6-years my students, many of them NLP Trainers, and myself gradually tested my new developments for efficacy and learnability. Finally, at the start of 2017, I sat down and compiled the individual patterns into new models and am so very excited to be teaching them on this Premier Advanced NLP Master Practitioner certification course.

I hope that you can join me in Edinburgh in November and experience a paradigm shifting program which I hope will breathe new life into your practise of NLP.

Check out my testimonials and if you are up for it, reserve your place today.

All the best,

“Elegant. Now, whilst I try not to sound like a festival critic giving a pre-sell out tip, I will honestly say this: Thom is on the rise, energetically trail blazing with momentum that will take him far. Thom has explored the charts drawn up by those who pioneered NLP and he is upgrading the map. By far the best NLP course I have attended since I saw NLP co-creator Richard Bandler 13 years ago. It was a privilege to witness such proficiency and comprehension of not only the tools but also the spirit of NLP. To have the opportunity to access these unscripted seminars is so wonderful that I would suggest that you catch them while you still can.” – Mathew Edmondson

"So far Thom has been the best NLP trainer I have worked with, and I say that because he really teaches you how to get deep in the things that really matter. Learning the structure of peoples everyday, and not so everyday challenges is helping me to open for flexible use of NLP. He has given me a thorough insight in areas such as sensory acuity so that I can use it in helping people, both in my personal and professional life.

Thom is a friend who can help you colour outside the lines of your life, and has been of great assistance even in ridding myself of physical ailments.” - Magnus Ingebrigtsen, Owner, SmartStudy, ITLA NLP Trainer

“I have attended a number of NLP and Hypnosis courses and met an extensive number of Hypnosis and NLP Experts in my career as a facilitator, since I completed my NLP Practitioner course nearly 20 years ago, but Thom has not only learnt the craft to the depth and level of its founders, he has taken it further incorporating deeper insights.

I loved the way he taught this.  There was no note taking but deep learning and emersion into the process.  He artfully weaved more experienced practitioner with total beginners creating an excellent learning platform for both parties.  The level of sensory acuity in reading body language is taken to a depth of detail and yet simplicity in understanding.

As an experienced practitioner he will really help you sharpen and hone your skill set, and for a company looking to improve communication skills for team effectiveness, leadership or sales and negotiation, this is a must as part of your communication learning programme.” - Mel Harris, Managing Director, The Performance Tree, Scotland

“There was only one NLP trainer that I trusted to give me the deepest possible learning at the most advanced level - and that was Thom Shillaw, he really does live and breathe the subject. I had met loads of good and bad NLP and hypnosis folk over the years, but Thom Shillaw was different. Thom has a level of understanding of the craft that only comes through a passion to learn and develop an expertise over a long period of time and I realised very quickly that all NLP Trainers are not equal. Thom has a deep passion to really understand how to communicate and to influence with NLP and to make sure that his students come away from his training with an understanding of the subject that is far greater than the patterns and tricks of others.

The main part of my professional life is in negotiation of commercial contracts and the knowledge of NLP at this level is truly a game changer. The ability to communicate and influence is an important skill for anyone, but as a professional negotiator it is imperative. Businesses spend a lot of time, energy and money on making their sales and marketing as effective as possible. The skillset of NLP raises the game for those in the business of negotiation for either side of the table. I can't recommend Thom's training highly enough.

Having now been trained to Advanced Master Practitioner of NLP by Thom Shillaw, I can honestly say that his training is now truly part of my daily life and I feel I can say that it is now part of who I am both in business and my personal life. Thanks Thom.” - Iain C. Steel, Senior Procurement Consultant

"Thom lives and breathes NLP and his Advanced Master Practitioner course is completely different from anything else out there. We spent the whole course in trance, learning by osmosis, and by the end of it we were automatically using the new patterns conversationally and able to go out into our everyday lives with a whole new skill set. His passion and enthusiasm is captivating; his knowledge up there with the masters." - Susan Long, Brighter Mind Advanced NLP and Hypnotherapy, Edinburgh

“Having trained with several trainers around the world, Thom takes NLP and Hypnosis way beyond the level that you could imagine. The Advanced NLP Master Practitioner course was fantastic and takes NLP into the next generation. The course is extremely comprehensive compared to anything else I have seen on the market. Thom’s style and delivery enables you to learn easily without any conscious effort and you just find yourself integrating the learnings into everyday life.” - Biodun Ogunyemi, Owner, OptiMind Method, Glasgow

“Thom is fantastic. Hypnotic and engaging. His sense of humour and hypnotic style entice the learner and make for a hugely enjoyable learning experience. The experience is 100% real. Thom is a living, breathing embodiment of his craft. It\'s a privilege to watch him at work.” – Linda Cameron, SNLP NLP Trainer

“Thom is very detailed in his teachings of NLP and I have found his trainings insightful, imaginative, thorough and entertaining. I highly recommend Thom as an NLP Trainer” - Jacquie Forde, Owner, The Nth Resource Ltd, SNLP NLP Trainer

Thom Shillaw

Thom Shillaw is an authority on conversational hypnosis and has significantly advanced the field beyond the work of its founder, the late Milton H. Erickson M.D.

Labelled by the Press, ‘the renowned Hypnotist,’ Thom made headlines for ‘the world’s first mass hypnosis,’ ‘the world’s first mass curing’ and for helping people overcome conditions which ‘experts believe there is no cure for’.

Thom spent a decade learning hypnosis from Erickson’s main students, NLP co-creators, Bandler and Grinder and Generative Trance creator, Steven Gilligan, along with modelling Erickson, the founder of modern hypnosis, for half a decade. Today, Thom teaches his own unique models and methods.

As an NLP Trainer, Thom supplied the UK’s most extensive Licensed NLP certification syllabus, laterally developing and delivering Licensed Advanced NLP Master Practitioner certification courses internationally.

A body language expert, Thom discovered that NLP’s most famous model, the NLP Eye Accessing Cue Model, was incorrect. Thom also discovered that problematic reference memories, the unique root causes of human problems could be easily observed in body language – A fact which the entire field of psychology had overlooked. Today, Thom’s work is paving the way for a new understanding of how people think and communicate.

Previously, Thom was an elite sports nutritionist who supported World Champion athletes. To this day, Thom maintains a keen interest in working with elite athletes.
