Event description

Description

Join us for an evening of premieres to celebrate the heritage of the Looe Valley Line, featuring local schools and special guests All The Stations.

FREE EVENT BUT BOOKING ESSENTIAL - CLICK 'REGISTER' FOR TICKETS.

Schools' showcase

We begin at 5pm with a live performance by Pelynt Primary School of their brand new song inspired by the history of the line, accompanied by Sally Crabtree.

Then on an epic 20-foot screen we have the first showing of Creativitea: Memories of the Looe Valley Line. This short film sees pupils from Looe Primary School and Duloe Primary School take their families for a tea party on the train to share memories from the railway’s past.

All The Stations documentary

At 5.15pm we have the premiere of The Looe Valley Line Story, the new mini-documentary series from All The Stations (a.k.a Geoff Marshall and Vicki Pipe, the YouTube sensations who have visited every station in the country). Join them to explore the history of South East Cornwall's railways and uncover mysteries such as how in the early days if you wanted to travel the line you had to buy a ticket for your hat!

We'll be showing all four mini-episodes back to back (total run-time 20 minutes). We're pleased to have Geoff and Vicki with us all evening, including for a book signing and Q&A.

Nibbles and exhibition

At 5.35pm, tuck into some complimentary nibbles and peruse our exhibition of historical photos of the railway.

Q&A and book signing

For those who would like to stick around, from 6pm to 6.30pm Geoff and Vicki will take to the stage for a Q&A. They will also be signing copies of their book The Railway Adventures - bring your copy along or buy one at the event.
