Event description

Description

Want to open your own cultural venue? Not sure what you need to do? If so, then The Premises Ready Training programme is for you.

The GLA and Creative United are offering a three-part, Premises Ready Training programme for people and organisations in the cultural sector who are looking to start a venue. It's jam-packed with industry insiders and experts from arts centres, cinemas, music and dance venues. They will provide you with knowledge and insight to help you open your own venue.

Topics will include business planning, funding and finance, licencing, business rates and cashflow.

You could be a live music promoter who is ready to take on their own venue, a touring theatre company wanting a permanent space or a dancer who wants to make the leap to running their own performance studio. As long as the venue you have in mind offers a live, cultural experience and is open to the public, then this is for you.

The programme comes in 3 parts:

1. The Premises Ready Symposium
Join us at this FREE event where we'll discuss the challenges of securing your premises and tips to make the journey that much smoother, with those who have been there and done that. CLICK BUTTON ABOVE TO REGISTER!

2. Premises Ready 2-Day Workshop
An expert-led workshop on 5 and 6 December 2018 at Camden's Roundhouse (on sale here on 14 Nov) to learn about business planning, accessing finance, licensing, rates and marketing (see more info below).

3. Free 1:1 business advice
5 businesses will receive FREE one-to-one advice in 2019 from an industry specialist to really boost you towards getting the keys to your own building (application form open in Dec 2018).

We encourage you to attend the Symposium before moving on to the workshops and applying for the 1:1 advice.
