N8 AgriFood at York Local Pump Priming: Round 2
Series of Preparation Roadshows
Third roadshow: Tuesday 25 April, 12.00 – 14.00
Room LMB/037X, Management School
Calling all those interested in applying for funding….
The N8 AgriFood Programme is an interdisciplinary research initiative spanning the eight research-intensive universities in the north of England, which is focused on ensuring the stability and integrity of national and global agri-food supply chains in the face of environmental and socioeconomic challenges. In partnership with industry and other stakeholders, it is addressing key global challenges in food security under the themes of sustainable food production, resilient food supply chains and improved nutrition and consumer behaviours.
AgriFood at York brings together our proven expertise in this arena, linking York’s research into the N8 AgriFood Programme, and showcasing funding and networking opportunities to bring new communities together.
We are launching Round 2 of AgriFood at York’s local Pump Priming awards, with a submission deadline of 23 June 2017, and we would like to support colleagues in the aim of developing new interdisciplinary partnerships, via novel collaborations across campus, with colleagues in other N8 institutions and with links into other external stakeholder organisations.
With that in mind, we are holding a series of discussion and networking roadshows in the lead-up to the deadline, with the third taking place in the Management School on Tuesday 25 April.
The session will be led by Prof. Bob Doherty (Management School), Academic lead for AgriFood at York, and supported by Knowledge Exchange Fellow, Dr James Stockdale (N8 AgriFood Programme) and will feature:
- Outline of key criteria for selection, timings
- Information about previously funded programmes
- Discussion of potential flagship ideas for both N8 AgriFood strategic Pump Priming and this local Pump Priming scheme
- Opportunity to network with colleagues
- Lunch provided (Vegetarians will be catered for; please respond to firstname.lastname@example.org with any other dietary requirements.)
Please let us know you are coming, to enable catering.
