Event Details

Are you a designer or maker from the creative or digital industries with products or services to sell? This is a complete series of four workshops plus an  independent research task. The workshops are designed to help you promote your business, engage potential customers and make the most of opportunities such as trade fairs, craft markets and pop-up shops. Each workshop builds upon the last to build your confidence to pop-up in public - including practical issues such as legal and book-keeping, marketing, social media and photography, pricing, display and talking to customers. The series has been designed by and includes contributions from experienced independent businesses.

At the end of the series you will be asked if you want to participate in one of the pop up markets due to take place in the Creative Quarter Avenues at Sneinton Market.  This will be a opportunity for you to use all the knowledge gained during the course and put your customer engagement techniques to the test in a fun and welcoming environment

The workshops run on Monday evenings. Places are limited and participants can attend all four workshops and complete the independent research. However you must register for each workshop separately.

If you wish to attend only individual workshops, please register for the relevant ticket(s). Priority will be given to those registering for the complete series but we hope to be able to offer some additional places on individual workshops or repeat them if necessary. You will be contacted asap to confirm your place.

In all cases you must be eligible for and enrolled in the Big House Programme - see details below.
