Description

GCI invite you to join us at our GDPR Compliance event

With household names such as Equifax, Deloitte and Wonga experiencing data breaches in 2017 alone, it’s easy to see why steps towards greater protection need to be taken for the public. The government’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is the hot topic in business right now, and it’s a safe assumption that GCI customer, the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) will impose significant fines for non-compliance to household names to set an example. With potential fines of up to €20M or 4% of turnover, it’s a regulation that is not to be ignored. This legislation comes into force in May 2018, so what do you need to do to prepare your business?

In conjunction with multi-award-winning law firm Gilson Gray, GCI are holding a complimentary GDPR Compliance event in Glasgow in order to inform and help businesses prepare for GDPR. During this half-day session you will hear from industry leaders and specialists in their field, who will bust some of the myths surrounding GDPR, advise you on the necessary steps towards compliance, and look at the technologies that will help you on this journey.

What to expect

Join GCI and multi award winning law firm Gilson Gray to discover the steps and measures you can put in place to secure your business without running the risk of being non-compliant!

During this half day session you will hear from industry leaders and specialists in their field, including:
