Preparing for Adulthood SEND Conference

For young people, their families, parent groups, multi-disciplinary professionals and employers
10.00 am – 12, Wednesday 23 October 2019, Conference Hall, Brent Civic Centre.
Coffee and tea from 9.30 am, with a prompt start at 10.00 am, finish at Midday.
(Connexions’ Branching Out SEND careers event for young people will run 2 – 5 pm afterwards in the Conference Hall)
Purpose:

To raise awareness of ‘Preparing for Adulthood’ Outcomes in the context of Brent
- To learn about national and local best practice in working with young people with complex needs 16-25 and take inspiration
- To better plan transition to give opportunities for young people with SEND and their families and guide them in planning/networking for their next stage

To launch and embed the new Transition into Adulthood in Brent document
