Preparing for Unthinkable Futures through Social Simulations
Overview
What if you can pre-live unthinkable futures?
In this workshop, we will experience a future scenario simulation that lets you step into a provocative future in the first person. Instead of analysing the future from a distance and from a purely intellectual point of view, you will inhabit it—emotionally, socially. This immersive method helps bypass our natural resistance to uncomfortable possibilities and expands our imagination, resilience and sense-making capacity.
You’ll learn the neuroscience behind why simulations work, experience a live scenario yourself, and gain practical tools to design future worlds and run simulations that could ultimately help change behavior, organizational culture and strategy.
If you’re ready to confront the futures we tend to avoid—before they catch us unprepared—this workshop is for you
No prior knowledge of foresight and futures thinking is required to participate in this workshop.
