Description
The key Scripture for 'Preparing the Highway' is Isaiah 62:10:
"Pass through, pass through the gates! Prepare the way for the people. Build up, build up the highway! Remove the stones. Raise a banner for the nations." [NIV]
Many are sensing that we are in a key season of preparation for what the Lord wants to do in, with and through this nation. It is a season for 'getting rid of the stones', the boulders, the things that are holding us back - individually, corporately as the church, and as the nation.
This gathering in Perth is not a 'traditional' conference, in the sense that we just come and listen to good teaching. Yes, the sessions will be led by well-known speakers, but a key focus as we gather together from across the nation will be to pray and intercede in these crucial days. That is why we are calling this a Prayer Gathering and not a Conference - come prepared to pray!
To lead our sessions we are delighted to be welcoming:
Fred Drummond: Scotland Director for the Evangelical Alliance who also heads up prayer UK-wide for the EA. A popular yet challenging speaker, Fred is well-known for bringing a 'now' word wherever he goes.
Andy Hall: A former Scotland YWAM Director, Andy is part of the leadership team at Lighthouse Church, Troon and heads up 'Lions Roar for Scotland', equipping the church for renewal, revival and reformation as he speaks and ministers at many events across Scotland.
Rev. Maggie Lane: Minister at Kirkliston Parish Church of Scotland, Maggie carries a prophetic message to the church to 'get rid of your idols' - a message she has shared around the nation.
