About this Event
The North Staffordshire Combined Healthcare NHS Trust and The Mental Elf present this half-day event on Prescribing in the Pandemic.
- The full event (11-3 on Tuesday 2nd Feb) is open to all North Staffordshire Trust staff and will take place on Zoom.
- The morning session will be live streamed on YouTube for anyone to watch.
- The afternoon session will consist of small group workshop discussions, which will count towards staff CPD.

Speakers
Dr Mark Lovell
Mark Lovell is a dual trained child and adolescent intellectual disability psychiatrist with an interest in ASD from Tees, Esk and Wear Valleys NHS Foundation Trust. He is also a Chief Clinical Information Officer. He has multiple national roles including being the chair of the Child and Adolescent Intellectual Disability Psychiatry Network, co-opted to the CAP and ID faculty executives at RCPsych, co-opted to the British Academy for Childhood Disability executive, Director for CPD and training at the Association for Child and Adolescent Mental Health and has advised/worked with NHSE/I, NHSD, PHE, NHSX and DfE within his clinical fields. He is a keen educator and has lectured internationally, authored chapters in textbooks, and has been an editor/author for both MindEd.org.uk and DisabilityMatters.org.uk. @dr_marklovell
Christine Hutchinson
Christine Hutchinson is a Consultant Nurse - Approved Clinician with the Community Learning Disability Services at Lancashire Care NHS Foundation Trust. She is also an Independent Consultant and Expert Witness. @ChrisHutchRNLD
Dr Mark Horowitz
Dr Mark Horowitz is a training psychiatrist and clinical research fellow at University College London. He has an interest in rational prescribing in psychiatry, including de-prescribing – when and how to stop medications. @markhoro
