Workshop EMBODIED STORYTELLING

Thursday 11th September

3pm – 5pm

SDT Studio, Dundee Rep

Duration: 2 hours

Age: The workshop is aimed at Professional or semiprofessional dancers with a basic knowledge of contemporary dance.

As a starting point, I will share parts of my own story of how I came to dance, how other interests and intersections with biographical markers have shaped my development as a choreographer, performer and movement practitioner, and how my work and interests have evolved across media and alongside collaborations.

In a practical session we will share the foundations of my movement and performance practice and explore proprioception and awareness in a reduced state as the building blocks for a more layered physical and performative approach to investigate what makes us move, literally and metaphorically speaking.
