Present Like a Lawyer Series: Pro Bono x Employment Law with A&O
Event Information
About this Event
Are you someone who wants to get into the legal profession and are wondering about how firms do their pro bono work? Or do you want to know how you can best contribute to the vulnerable communities in the UK using legal knowledge? If so, do come along to our session with Allen & Overy LLP. Students from all degrees are welcome. We will be learning from lawyers who are experts at pro bono work, covering topics such as how you can best spread information to local communities. Our excellent speakers include Mark Mansell, who is a partner who specialises in Employment Law. As a lot of our volunteering centres around employment rights, he will talk about his practice and how we can best apply this to our outreach work. Moreover, Kristin Bong, an associate at the firm, as well as Emma Turnbull, an officer in the community investment practice, will give you their take on how best to present information in a condensed and easily comprehensible way. There will be opportunities to ask questions and network in the very end, so this is also an excellent opportunity to know about the firm if you are interested in joining them in the future!
