Is public speaking a big deal?
They say that next to the fear of death, the fear of public speaking is the most common fear that people have. If you asked anyone that knew me when I was at university, they would have voted me 'least likely to be a public speaker'. Now more than twenty years on, I have spoken publicly in a variety of settings and to a huge variety of audiences from tens to hundreds. From personal development topics to spiritual topics and medical, my talks have lasted between 10 minutes and 4 hours. And I have learned a thing or two.
The most important thing I have learned is that anyone can make the experience of public speaking less nerve racking and more fulfilling than it currently is no matter what their personality or previous experience is.
So if your job or calling requires you to speak in public, and your stomach knots every time you think of it, this workshop is for you!
Or perhaps it's not fear that stops you, its the thought that you don't know how to organise your content in a way that is cohesive and entertaining.
Or maybe you would like more clarity and punch in your delivery so that your audience remains engaged during your presentation.
Perhaps you just want to polish a skill that you are already good at. That's valid too.
If any of these describe you, I would like to invite you to my workshop Present with Ease.
During these 3 hours we will look at:
- The power of presentations
- Ingredients for a powerful presentation
- How to prepare for your presentation
- Reading your audience
- Overcoming fear
Just to mention a few. So join me on 19th October, 2016 from 1.30 till 4.30pm
