Workshop Title: Presentation Skills

Cost: FREE

Description:

Love it or hate it, pretty much all of us have to do it at some point.
And when done well, a presentation can be a joy to deliver and receive. But is success in this area only for extroverts with a natural ‘gift of the gab’? No! While some may find it easier than others to speak, pitch, and sell, the ability to deliver a winsome presentation can be learned. In this workshop, Dr. Brennan Jacoby will reveal practical tips and tricks for presenting with impact. Specifically, students who attend this session will learn:
  • Strategies for structuring presentation content;
  • How to connect with an audience;
  • The significance of nutrition, and what to eat before a big presentation;
  • How to leverage physical space when speaking; and
  • Breathing techniques to aid focus and remain calm.
This is a highly active workshop where students will get to try out techniques and practice presenting in a safe environment.

This session is part of the ISH Student Toolbox - a programme of free personal development workshops
