Friends Who Are Going
Event description

Description

The workshop will focus on the key skills and techniques required to present with confidence and conviction.

It has been said that at a funeral most of us would prefer to be in the coffin rather than making the speech. If we are addressing a large public meeting or simply presenting to colleagues, why do we find it so daunting? This interactive session will provide a safe and supportive atmosphere where we can try to dispel some of our fears around presenting in public.

The session will be interactive with many opportunities to practise the skills covered. The trainer will provide you with constructive feedback throughout the session and you will also be able to get some feedback from your peers.

Facilitator

Andy Greenhalgh read English at Cambridge before training as an actor. He worked for over 30 years in Film, Television and Theatre, and then moved into corporate training working as role-player, facilitator and trainer in a huge range of industries in both public and private sector. Clients have ranged from multinational companies to housing associations.

He now works at Regent University London teaching Acting, Interpersonal Communications, Public Speaking and Presentation Skills. At Morley College he teaches Public Speaking, Presentation and Interview Skills. In 2012 he was nominated for a Times Higher Education Award for the Widening Participation Initiative.
