Workshop Overview
Presenting your work to galleries can be dauting. Am I ready? Who should I approach? How should I present it? Claudia Kennaugh, founder of Art & People, is on hand to shine a light from the gallery's perspective.
During this interactive workshop, Claudia will talk through gallery models, what galleries are looking for and offer a comprehensive 4-step guide to presenting your work. Then you'll be invited to ask questions relating to your specific scenarios to receive personalised guidance.
Artists will be invited to bring two pieces of their work for reference during the sessions. It's open to artists of all stages, whether you're ready to present now or in the near future. Join us to get the advice you need whilst learning from other's perspectives.

Art & People
Art & People is a Bristol-based art advisory service offering guidance to artists and collectors. Founded in 2019 by curator and coach Claudia Kennaugh, Claudia is the resent art advisor for Jackson's art supplies and was an artist mentor on the BBC One TV programme Make it at Market Series II. With a background as a performing artist and then manager and partner of Hollywood Road Gallery, London, she brings her varied experience to support artists' professional development. Offering 121 sessions, talks, tutorials and workshops to help foster artist communities including Artes Mundi, Bow Arts Trust, Farnham Maltings, Kindred Studios, Spike Island, Visal Artists Ireland and Wimbledon Art Studios. Her curatorial work continues in private homes and commercial spaces, including the farmstay retreat, Fowlescombe Farm, Devon and Noble Rot, Mayfair. Exhibitions include an open call charity collection, Precious Postcards '22 & '23, featuring largely unrepresented artists and raising money for FoodCycle.
