Description

Learn how to make the most of your garden produce. Perfect for people just starting to grow their own food, or anyone looking to make their garden produce go further!Find out about the different ways vegetables, fruits and herbs can be preserved for use in the kitchen. Make some chutney or jam and oils to take home with you, and peruse our selection of garden preserves, products and plants.

Trainer: Siobhán MacMahon

Siobhán is Community Projects Coordinator at St Mary’s Secret Garden. They have several years of gardening, support and training experience, with a particular interest in organic food growing, and gardening for mental health and wellbeing. They coordinate the Garden Social for older Hackney residents with learning disabilities to socialise in the garden and, Greening for Wellbeing, a garden maintenance project for people with mental ill health. They also manage volunteers, school groups and other community projects at St Mary’s.
