The City has a proud place in the story of the iconic red telephone box, its inspiration and fascinating origins, its design and designer and its evolution. But how come the telephone box was perfected half a century before the telephone was invented? Was there one in the heart of the Regency City? The General Post Office and British Telecom have an illustrious City history, what of the future? Lester Hillman, who has spent decades helping to cherish the origin of the box, aims to press all the right buttons and make connections.
