With social media use always on the up, there's never been a better time to express ourselves and share things publicly.
But with the increase of tools comes a whole new set of challenges - how to present ourselves online, and how we're percieved.
Online Reputation Management is a term that arose from a recognition of the importance that influencing how someone or something is perceived based on a web search has to a business.
We'll be discussing what it means to put so much of ourselves online, and whether our behaviours can change as a result of online interaction.
This edition of the Preston Social will look at identity, honesty and transparency online. Journalist and staunch believer in transparency, Daniel Bentley, will be joined by Tom Stables - a lecturer in Online Repuation at UCLan to discuss with attendees this important area of our online lives.
The format is the same as usual, formal discussion followed by socialising.
6:30 - Doors Open
7:00 - Introductions
7:15 - Floor Debate and discussion
8:30 onwards - Socialising
