About this event
Join Kimberley Ashwin- Autism Nurse Consultant and Morwenna Fullerton- Autism Practitioner, who is also Autistic with ADHD for their webinar on ‘Preventing Burnout’.
Kim and Morwenna will be sharing advice using both their professional and lived experience on how to prevent burnout, how to recognise the signs and tips on how to recover.
What is burnout?
Burnout is a state of mental and physical fatigue which can impact someone’s daily life significantly. People who are Autistic and people with ADHD are at a greater risk of burnout due to masking, stress and sometimes lack of support in place for individuals. Burnout for any neurodivergent person can be more extreme and take longer to recover from.
Can it be prevented?
Although it can sometimes be difficult to spot the early signs and takes time to recover from, burnout can be prevented by being aware of the signs, utilising self-care and having the right support in place.
This webinar is aimed at autistic individuals and parents/carers of autistic individuals, however all are welcome.
