This session is delivered by Bhayani Law Limited, trusted specialists in HR and employment law, working side by side delivering practical, compliant training for today’s workplaces.

Wednesday 17 September, 12.00 pm – 1.30 pm

Almost twelve months have passed since new duties came into force, requiring employers to actively prevent sexual harassment at work. During this time, our team has experienced a noticeable increase in enquiries, from straightforward compliance checks through to complex situations involving harassment by third parties and internal complaints from staff.

What’s become clear is that these changes are affecting businesses of every shape and size.

And it doesn’t stop there. The government’s proposed Employment Rights Bill looks set to raise expectations further, obliging employers to demonstrate not just “reasonable steps” but “all reasonable steps” to prevent harassment. The Bill also plans to reintroduce employer responsibility for harassment carried out by third parties across all protected characteristics – a development likely to create particular challenges for sectors such as retail, leisure, and hospitality.

Why join us?

In this focused webinar, our HR and employment law specialists will share insights from the past year, highlight the common difficulties faced by organisations, and explain the practical impact of the upcoming reforms.

You’ll leave with clear, practical actions you can implement straight away to safeguard your workforce and protect your organisation.

Topics we’ll explore:

  • One year on – the new harassment duty in practice: Key lessons from the first 12 months.
  • Practical compliance: How different employers are meeting the requirements, from simple fixes to more complex approaches.
  • Dealing with third-party harassment: Tools and strategies for reducing risks from customers, clients, contractors, and others.
  • Risk assessment in action: Identifying and tackling areas of risk to build a safe and respectful workplace.
  • Handling complaints: What to do when concerns are raised or when you suspect harassment may be happening.
  • Preparing for reform: What the Employment Rights Bill could mean in practice and how to plan now.
