PRID African Researchers London Symposium is one of PRID's multidisciplinary events that targets presenters and audience from diverse background. Presentations about concluded, on-going or future research that are of relevance to africa or any country in africa are welcomed. As well as experienced researchers, early career researchers and students are welcomed to make presntations at the event.

Presentations by each speaker will last for 15 minutes; presentations and discussions (question and answer).

Dr Yahuza Ibrahim

Dr Yahuza Ibrahim was a former Lecturer and researcher in Nigeria, Banker (NYSC-with the Central Bank of Nigeria), and trainee agronomist (on placement) with the Sokoto State Agricultural Development Project (SADP). He is currently an independent researcher and event convener with Proficient Research, Innovation & Development (PRID) which he founded. Dr Yahuza is a global expert in Agronomy and Crop Ecology with specialization in theorethical production ecology. He has particular interest in exploring yield-density equations in both sole crop and intercrops. Dr Yahuza’s other research interest include but not limited to: resource capture and the efficiency of resource capture by crops; low input and sustainable production systems; climate change mitigations and adaptations in agricultural systems (crops); organic farming and related ecological production systems; adaptation of crops and varieties at locations other than of origin or of wider cultivation, and socio-economics of agricultural systems (mainly crops).

Dr Yahuza has participated in over 300 events of academic, professional, business or educational relevance at various locations in the UK. He also made presentations at some of the events he participated in, including at the universities of Cambridge, London and Edinburgh.
