Description

In our first event of the year, Pride in STEM celebrates LGBT History month! Join our speakers who will be examining the historical side of science - who are the unsung heroes from years gone by? Who advanced their field and is a queer icon? Taking to the stage for this amazing evening of interaction and entertainment will be:

Sam Perrin (Cemetery Club)

Sheldon Goodman (Cemetery Club)

Russell Moul (University of Kent)

Ably presented by James Claverley (National Physical Laboratory)

The venue will be open from 6pm, with the event starting at 7pm. The nearest tube stations are Piccadilly Circus and Oxford Circus.

The event is free to attend but booking a ticket is required due to the size of the venue.

Out Thinkers serves to showcase the talent of LGBT+ researchers, providing a platform where people can talk about their scientific work while truly being themselves. Out Thinkers events feature a range of phenomenal speakers talking about their research and experiences as LGBT+ individuals in academia.
