Event description

Description

Art and the Cross-Curricular Skills of Communication

Intended Audience – All primary teachers (mainly KS1 and KS2)

According to UNESCO ‘the encouragement of creativity from an early age is one of the best guarantees of growth in a healthy environment of self-esteem and mutual respect – critical ingredients for building a culture of peace.’

CCEA would like to offer primary teachers the opportunity to attend a series of 3 Workshops showing how Art can be incorporated into planning with the Cross-Curricular Skills.

Each session will concentrate on a different Cross-Curricular Skill; teachers may apply to attend 1, 2 or all 3 workshops.

13 November - Art and Communication

15 January - Art and Using Mathematics

29 January - Art and Using ICT

The workshops will take place in the Antrim Board Centre as twilight sessions from 3.30-5.00pm.

Tea/coffee will be available on arrival and travel expenses will be reimbursed.
