There are two termly opportunities to join Mastery Specialist Teachers to take part in collaborative lesson reflection and planning. Once registered you will be able to access the online video for ten days after each session.

Autumn Term 2021

Tuesday 9th November 4pm - 5pmSession 1 – Multiplicative Reasoning - A journey of division from Y1 to Y6 using a mastery approach. This session will support the development of your understanding of the 5 big ideas of Teaching for Mastery with a focus on how these can be applied to linking multiplication with the teaching of division. Division can be a difficult area of the Primary Curriculum to teach with understanding and this session will enhance your pedagogy and explore ways to secure deep understanding. The session will run from 4pm – 5pm and then I will remain available after the session to answer any questions or offer further advice.

Tuesday 30th November 4pm - 5pm

Session 2 – A lesson study in teaching division. This session will offer an opportunity to think about planning a Y3/4 division lesson in depth. It is an opportunity to consider the carefully crafted small steps within the lesson and how the 5 big ideas of Teaching for Mastery are used in a lesson. The session will run from 4pm – 5pm and then I will remain available after the session to answer any questions or offer further advice.
