Description

‘Primary Maths London’

Join fellow maths teachers at our one day Primary Maths Conference.

There will be a number of LTMH collaborators (consultants, specialists and class teachers) at the event who will share their expertise on topics such as:

Angles in depth - Joanne Morgan

This workshop is about teaching angle facts. We will look in depth at angles on straight lines and in triangles. Teachers will develop their subject knowledge, learn about common misconceptions, and discover new resources and activities to use in their lessons.

Teacher feedback - Can we make it more effective? - Matthew Kleiner-Mann & Sarah Finch

This session explores the journey taken by two primary schools to eliminate marking. It will show how removing written feedback has not only reduced teacher workload but developed learners who are more reflective and aware of their strengths and areas for development.

Challenging but Accessible: Dealing with the attainment gap - Phil Jones

Almost all classes have a significant disparity between the highest and lowest attaining pupils. With this in mind, how do we move children along at “broadly the same pace” without reverting back to 3-way differentiation?

There will also be plenty of opportunities to network with colleagues from other schools and institutions throughout the day.
