Event description

Description

L.E.A.D. NQT Programme

The comprehensive newly qualified teacher (NQT) programme is designed to support NQTs in developing the quality and impact of their practice throughout the year. The programme is a supplementary addition to the school’s own internal induction and support. The sessions themselves aim to cover a wide range of core areas and offer participants the opportunity to develop their understanding and practice through:

  • ensuring they have a thorough understanding of the Teachers’ Standards and Ofsted schedule;
  • developing an understanding of high quality teaching and learning through quality-assured training;
  • providing practical resources and ideas that can be used in their classrooms;
  • developing confidence and an understanding of current exemplary practice in schools;
  • supporting them to recognise their strengths and areas for development, and formulate plans to become outstanding practitioners;
  • networking with peers and working collaboratively;
  • reflecting on and sharing good practice.

Course Leaders – Becky Riley (L.E.A.D. TSA Associate), Matt Lawrence (Director of Teaching School) and leading teachers across the Alliance.
