Event description

Description

Planning and Teaching Science; an evaluative approach to the planning and teaching of science, including important Health and Safety advice.

This session will take delegates from whole-school overviews to medium term plans, placing a strong emphasis on assessment for learning and personalising pedagogy for schools and classes. Time will also be spent considering important health and safety advice in a practical way.

These sessions are aimed at TF participants 2018 and 2017, teachers training through other routes as well as experienced teachers looking to develop their Science pedagogy and bring this expertise back to their schools. They are being run by Kate Redhead (Primary Science Trust) and Andrew Sellars (Teach First PDL and former Head of Science) both of whom have a large amount of experience of Science in a Primary Environment.

The aim of these sessions is to provide practical ways to engage pupils and teach Science in a Primary classroom. You will develop resources and lesson ideas that you can then take back and share with your schools
