About this event

  • Event lasts 1 hour

These taster events provide you with an opportunity to discover more about starting your career as a primary school teacher within an informal, relaxed setting.

You will be given the chance to meet the programme tutors, current trainees, learn about the course structure and plenty more.

We work in partnership with over 100 schools across the South West of England to deliver an exceptional opportunity to learn to teach with outstanding providers. Our partner training organisations are Ted Wragg Teacher Training Partnership and the University of Exeter, both highly regarded by Ofsted. Each year we warmly welcome around 40 trainee teachers who are selected for their teaching potential regardless of gender, age, disability, ethnicity, faith, sexuality or nationality.

We pride ourselves on training top quality teachers who:

  • put pupil progress at the heart of everything they do
  • continuously develop themselves using the principles of deliberate practice
  • root their classroom practice in up-to-date and relevant research.

"I just wanted to say thank you ... for running the session tonight. It was massively helpful and really motivating!" - A recent information event participant.
