Description

Content:

This workshop looks at problems that may occur when a child transitions from primary to secondary school. This workshop covers the following topics:

  • telling your child about their diagnosis
  • changing friendships
  • preparing for puberty
  • choosing a school
  • adjusting to the new school
  • building self-esteem

Audience:

  • parents and families
  • teachers and teaching staff

We encourage both parents and teachers to come along as working together ensures the child’s transition is as stress-free as possible.

This workshop is relevant to both males and females.

Feedback:

“Very good information on what we can do for transition. I liked the at home ideas.”

“The transitions tips for parents and professionals were very helpful.”

If numbers for this workshop are low, we will have no choice but to cancel it. Please check your email inbox and spam one or two days before the workshop is due to run as we will send you an email if it has been cancelled.
