About this event
Please join us at Prinsted for a beach clean at 1000 - 12 noon on Saturday 11 October for a public beach clean. Meeting point opposite the Scout Hut, Prinsted Lane, PO10 8FQ. Every bit of litter and rubbish we pick up makes a difference.
T he What3Words reference for the meeting point location is here: https://w3w.co/under.ironclad.level
Hampshire and Isle of Wight Wildlife Trust will be joining us and after our briefing will spend 15 minutes or so explaining about our marine life with those that are interested. They will be there for the rest of the clean up so will be able to answer any questions about the wildlife or flora that you find. We hope this will provide some more education about our wonderful coastline!
The Final Straw Foundation will provide gloves, litter pickers, bags and buckets, but if you have any of your own that you would like to use please bring them.
If you would like to make a donation to the charity, you can do so here: https://www.justgiving.com/finalstrawfdn
Our community beach cleans are open to individuals and small groups. If you're a business or corporate group looking to join, for your volunteering hours or team-building, we’ll need to arrange a bespoke private clean for you. These private cleans support our charity through a donation, ensuring we can continue our important work. Get in touch via hello@finalstrawfoundation.org to book your tailored experience.

Frequently asked questions
Well behaved dogs on leads are welcome, but please keep them well under control and away from other volunteers unless they approach you or your dog. Some children and adults may be scared of dogs so it's important to make sure they are under full control.
Absolutely, feel free to bring your own kit if you have it.
We do have some child-sized gloves but not a huge amount, so if you have some tough gloves you could bring from home for them that may help.
Parts of the site are accessible to pushchairs and wheelchairs but not all. There is a path after an initial upward slope that runs along some of the top section by the shore that can be accessed fairly easily - it's worth taking a look on Google Maps if in doubt.
There is limited parking at the site. Please be mindful of parking in the nearby residential areas.
The nearest public toilets are in South Street in Emsworth public car park.
