Event description

Description

As part of Heritage Open Days, we will be at Malmaison Reading helping you to create your own printed postcard from the Worlds reputedly oldest surviving railway hotel. Completed in 1844, and likely to have been designed by Isambard Kingdon Brunel the hotel still celebrates it’s railway heritage through it’s room names to styling. The jelly artists will be on hand from 12-5 on Saturday 9 September for a free family activity, celebrating the heritage of the hotel by creating postcards using letterpress stamps and specially created stamps for the event.

The event is free, all ages welcome and all children must be accompanied by an adult. The activity is drop-in.

Registering your interest for this event helps us prepare materials for the workshop and allows us to keep you up to date for future workshops and events for Jelly and Reading Fringe Festival.

Drop in anytime between 12pm and 5pm. At busy times you may have to wait for a space at the craft table.

To make your day even more special, why don’t you book a delicious Heritage afternoon tea buffet for only £14 per person. Must be pre-booked diretcly at Malmaison, quoting this workshop and full payment taken at time of booking.
