Welcome to this fantastic two part workshop where you will print into air dry clay and then paint to create a coaster and items of your choice.
Join us on Tuesday 19th August and Tuesday 26th August for a relaxing, fun and creative workshop where you can learn how to print beautiful coasters made from clay and print using carved wooden blocks.

Block printing is a really calming process and you can work at your own pace. Louise will provide a detailed demonstration as well as her guidance throughout the workshop. You don't need any artistic ability at all, it's not messy and all of the resources will be provided for you. So, just bring your enthusiasm and get ready to have a great time!
Louise will show you how to make your own coasters and then you'll be able to create other items such as mini hanging bunting, buttons, mini tags - the options are endless. There will be plenty of finished items for you to look at for inspiration.

Yes, there is plenty of parking. There is a free car park which is about 5 min walk just outside the RWY (Strand Street). However, this is often very busy. There are plenty of spaces closer by and these can be paid using card or on the Pay By Phone App - the location number is: 59542
If you cancel your booking 7 days or more in advance of the event, a refund will be provided.
Yes there is. The lift is behind the café (in Make Fabric Boutique) as you enter Ocean Studios. Speak to the café staff to obtain the key. There are signs up when you come out of the life and I will include detailed directions in the booking confirmation email.
The workshop is at my Studio within Ocean Studios at the Royal William Yard. It's on the first floor and it's Studio 18. In the booking confirmation, there will be clear directions to help you find me!

Yes. The clay takes time to fully dry out before being painted and varnished. Part 1 is on Tuesday 19th August and part 2 is a week later on Tuesday 26th Aug. Both 10am - 12.30pm.
