The days of potato printing are long gone!
Learn new print making skills whilst exploring and expressing your own ideas
Explore some ways of making multiple images by printing. There will be the opportunity to learn new skills and for you to apply your own ideas, or we could suggest a project for you.
We will be looking at some well-known print-makers and artists for inspiration.
By engaging in printmaking children to try out lots of different techniques and to see cause and effect of their actions more dramatically than with simply painting or drawing. They can use different paints and inks, try a variety of image transfer techniques, learning to print, with and on, just about anything.
By using printing materials, tools and processes have the opportunity to engage in ways to be imaginative and creative. They will be able observe and describe, analyze and interpret, and express their feelings, with or without words.
Art is personal; every child can feel pride in their original artistic creations and thus build self-esteem and confidence.
