About this event

  • Event lasts 3 hours

In this 3-hour workshop, you'll learn how to carve and print your very own poppy design on quality A5 card – a symbol traditionally associated with Remembrance Day. Whether you choose to create your own design or use one of our templates, you’ll be guided through every step by local artist Kat, who brings her own passion for printmaking to this special session.

You’ll learn:

  • How to use lino cutting tools safely and effectively
  • Tips for designing and carving your lino block
  • How to ink and print using a printing press
  • Techniques for getting clean, bold results (and how to troubleshoot along the way)

Lino printing is a craft that takes patience, but the process is incredibly satisfying – especially that exciting moment of reveal when you lift your first print off the press! You’ll have plenty of time to try out your design multiple times, experimenting with colours and improving your technique as you go.

This workshop is ideal for beginners or anyone curious to try printmaking in a calm, supportive environment.

All tools and materials are provided – just come along, get creative, and leave with your own handmade prints to take home or gift
