Event description
Afternoon workshop focusing on screenprint.

About this Event

Print Study Afternoon aimed at people working in organisations with fine art prints in the collection, or individuals who work with print. This event aims to deepen understanding of fine art printmaking, demonstrate how prints are produced and facilitate connections between individuals working with print collections.

The afternoon will begin with a tour of the workshop, where you will meet one of our editioning master printers for a demonstration of screenprint and learn about the collaborative printmaking process involved when working with invited artists. Master Screenprinter Scott Campbell has worked at GPS since 2000, working with artists including Elizabeth Blackadder, John Byrne and Alasdair Gray. Following this will be an opportunity for further discussion with the printers and attendees and an introduction to the Print Studio Archive collection. Tea and coffee will be provided.

This event is part of the Graphic Impact project, supported by the William Grant Foundation.

The event is free to attend and limited in numbers. In the first instance, we would ask that only one person per organisation attends each event, but please let us know if you would like places for any additional attendees and we will see if places can be allocated. If you have any questions about the event please email kerry@glasgowprintstudio.co.uk
