Print the Moon: Stargazing & Lunar Photography with the Lumen Collective
Tue 11 April 2017, 20:00 – 23:00 BST
Stargazing and Lunar Photography from East London’s best rooftop bar! Join us at Netil360 for an unmissable evening exploring the skies! Brought to you by Hackney Arts and the Lumen collective, this unique event will help you to stare at the stars in a whole new light.
Astronomer Paul Hill will take you on a skywards guided tour, talking lunar science and helping you to view the stars and the Moon through a collection of telescopes. With help from the super-talented Lumen collective, East London’s art collective dedicated to astronomy and light, you will be guided in taking a unique photograph of the Moon for you to keep.
With the expert guidance of our hosts, you will be able to print your very own photograph using Impossible Project film. The Impossible Project are the only company still making analog, instant-print film since the demise of Polaroid in 2008, allowing you to make a real-life, stick-it-on-the-wall memory of this unmissable and unique event. When the last Polaroid factory closed down, Impossible stepped in to rescue their machines. They're the only people in the world making instant film for classic Polaroid cameras and we are delighted to bring them to this event to help us print the moon!
Drinks available to purchase from Netil360. Buy your tickets today to avoid disappointment.
Please note, that this event is dependent on weather and cloud cover.
