Event description

Description

Over 10 sessions you will learn to develop your ideas from drawings, collage and personal research into print for fabric using block printing and heat transfer printing techniques.

You will produce a sketchbook of design development and samples using these versatile printing techniques and if you choose, work toward a final piece: either a tote bag, tea towel, scarf or length of fabric.

Throughout the course you will be shown inspirational work by designers and artists and encouraged to develop a playful approach to design and making.

By the end of the course you will be able to design and make your own printed textiles and will have complied a sketchbook of research, design development, printed textile samples and a final outcome.

The course is aimed at beginners as well as those with previous experience of art and design.
