Is it suitable for beginners?

Yes! The sessions are beginner-friendly, with guidance available throughout the session to help you build confidence and improve your printmaking skills.

Do I need to bring my own materials/equipment?

No! I provide all materials, including paper, chisels, etching scribes, and a small printing press. You're welcome to bring your own equipment if you like.

What should I expect in a session?

Each session will focus on a different type of printmaking (relief, intaglio, screen, or planographic). Throughout the session, I'll provide guidance on the steps you need to take from creating a sketch to producing your very own prints.

Welcome to my Weekly Printmaking for beginners classes at The Customs House!

Spend the afternoon exploring the art of printmaking in a relaxed and welcoming setting. Each session introduces a range of techniques, from carving and inking to pressing and pulling prints. With guided steps and plenty of room for experimentation, you'll develop your skills while creating unique prints to take home. All materials are provided—just bring your curiosity and a willingness to get inky.
