Printout Photography Special
Tuesday, 23 September 2014 from 18:30 to 22:30 (BST)
San Francisco, California
London, United Kingdom
Photography plays a crucial role in defining any magazine’s character, but for a small number of titles it assumes even greater significance. For this Printout we’ll bring together the magazines making the most innovative, exciting use of photography to find out what motivates them and how they go about creating their unique imagery.
LIne up includes:
Pylot – The fashion magazine that only features analogue photography, and promises it will never airbrush out a single blemish
Brewster – The travel magazine that takes vintage stereoscopic photography and turns it into beautiful 3D images
We Are Dublin – The latest magazine experiment from Conor Purcell, creator of We Are Here, continuing his practice of using iPhone photography to explore a city
When & Where
Organised by Jeremy Leslie (magCulture) and Steven Watson (Stack), Printout is Britain's foremost gathering of independent publishers. Held in London every other month, with ad hoc ventures to other cities throughout the year, Printout brings together lovers of independent publishing and introduces them to the people making some of the best magazines in the world.
