Prittlewell Priory Tours
Fri 28 July 2017, 14:00 – 15:30 BST
Discover the Fascinating world of the Monks of Prittlewell Priory.
Why did they wear black? What did they eat? Why did they use sign language?
The tour gives you a glimpse into the life and world of the monks and includes a look at the remaining site – weather permitting! This is an opportunity to explore part of the rich history of Southend.
Tours begin from the Priory Visitor Centre. Booking essential. Although tours are primarily aimed at an adult audience, children are welcomed and can count a tour towards one of the activities on their Museum Explorer Passport.
Please allow 1 Hour 30 Minutes for the tour.
To keep you up-to-date with our events, we will send our Southend Libraries & Museums E-Newsletter to the email you provide upon booking. You may unsubscribe at any time.
Is there wheelchair access?
The Priory is equipped with a lift to allow wheelchair access to the top floor, and has ramps installed on the Ground levels. The Minstrel’s Gallery and mid-level hall are inaccessible but viewable from the top level. If you are unsure, please email us before booking to ascertain if the tour is suitable for your needs.
Do I need to bring my printed ticket to the event?
If you do not have access to a printer, we will accept your ticket on your smartphone. If you are not able to hold your ticket on your phone, please make sure you have ID with you so we can find you on our Guest List.
What is your refund policy?
Ticket sales are non-refundable unless the event is cancelled.
